This year, i2i and the American startup accelerator EntreCamp have jointly launched the "2024 IP2 Scale Out Program." Among the participating teams is Taiwan's promising startup, Astron Medtech.
Composed of a professional biomedical team, Astron Medtech has developed an innovative medical device, the minimally invasive surgical solution"TendMIN," which significantly enhances the efficiency of dental treatments.
This competitive product debuted at the Taiwan Demo Day Pitch Event held on June 21 in Manhattan, where COO Tsai Ilin showcased their product and technology for expanding into the East Coast market and seeking international partners.

Astron Medtech's team includes dentists from National Taiwan University Hospital, a former Amazon North America sales manager, and PhD researchers from Facebook. The four co-founders have participated in the UC Berkeley Biomed Innovation Program and the Appworks Accelerator Program.
Tsai Ilin explained that the company's core product is the minimally invasive surgical solution"TendMIN," which uses artificial intelligence to automate the design of dentures, including crowns, bridges, and occlusal splints. This technology significantly improves the efficiency and quality of dental treatments, helping dentists complete precise and quick treatments within a day.
Tsai Ilin stated, "New York's venture capital ecosystem is thriving, especially in the orthopedic field. We hope to connect with local key opinion leader orthopedic doctors, explore collaboration opportunities, and promote our products." He also mentioned that the company will focus on commercializing their specialized technology and ensuring a clear and defined market strategy.
