Jmem Technology, a Taiwanese semiconductor cybersecurity startup, has claimed the IC Design Champion title at the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ “Best AI Awards”—Taiwan’s largest AI innovation competition—held on May 3. The company’s technical innovation received strong recognition from the industry.
Jmem Technology focuses on developing cutting-edge semiconductor IP that combines Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) technologies. Its solutions aim to enhance security across a range of applications, including AI systems, IoT devices, and automotive chips.

The startup pioneered the world’s first PUF-based PQC hardware security architecture. This approach embeds a unique, unclonable “chip fingerprint” directly into the IC, enabling irreversible identity authentication and data encryption. In the face of growing cybersecurity risks—especially within AI and IoT environments—this technology delivers robust protection against counterfeiting and data breaches.
Jmem Technology was one of the selected teams in the 2024 IP2 Scale Out Program by i2i, a soft-landing initiative that supported Taiwanese startups expanding into the New York startup ecosystem. The team’s pitch and presence in the New York investment community were met with strong positive feedback.
In addition, Jmem Technology previously took home the national championship at the Taiwan Startup World Cup (TSWC) in July 2024, earning the honor of representing Taiwan at the global finals of the Startup World Cup in San Francisco—the world’s largest startup competition.
These milestones have propelled Taiwan’s deep-tech innovation onto the international stage, with the team gaining recognition both at home and abroad.
