The grand opening of "Taoyuan Skyline" was led by Mayor Chang San-cheng, who outlined the policies Taoyuan City has implemented in recent years to foster the growth of domestic startups.
Mayor Chang highlighted that Taoyuan City is actively promoting youth entrepreneurship, having established eight youth entrepreneurship bases so far. The newly launched "Taoyuan Skyline" is the city's first official startup accelerator, with the goal of linking the domestic and international startup ecosystems and focusing on aiding the growth of mid-to-late-stage startups.
"Establishing the accelerator base is a crucial step in implementing Taoyuan's startup policies. The city government has already signed MOUs with numerous companies and international accelerators, with partners spanning Taiwan, the United States, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, and the Philippines," Mayor Chang said. The city will seek deeper collaboration and exchange with more overseas enterprises in the future.
