Italy and Taiwan’s first recorded COVID-19 cases were only 10 days apart, but Italy quickly became one of the hardest-hit countries in the world, while Taiwan has had much fewer cases of the novel coronavirus disease. So what did both countries do in order to lead to such dramatically different outcomes?
