Preteeth AI Introduces AI Dental Simulation Technology, Explores Medical Collaborations in NY

This year, the Taiwanese startup Preteeth AI participated in the "IP2 Scale Out Program," jointly organized by i2i and the American startup accelerator EntreCamp. At the Taiwan Demo Day held on June 21 in Manhattan, CEO Bill Chou showcased their innovative technology, receiving widespread acclaim.

Preteeth AI leverages artificial intelligence in dental simulation technology to automate the design of dental prosthetics, such as crowns, bridges, and bite plates. This significantly enhances the efficiency and quality of dental treatments.

Preteeth AI was founded by a team comprising a NTU dentist, a former Amazon North America business manager, and a former Facebook AI researcher. With strong expertise in medical, technology, and business fields, the team has a solid background. They have participated in the UC Berkeley Bioengineering Innovation Program and Silicon Valley accelerator 500 Startups and AppWorks, and have won the top prize in the Ministry of Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incentive Program of Taiwan.

Traditional dental prosthetic creation is a time-consuming and complex process. Preteeth AI's core technology lies in using artificial intelligence to automatically design dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, and bite plates. This technology can enhance treatment outcomes and enabling dentists to complete patient treatments within a single day, greatly improving the patient experience.

Bill Chou stated that Preteeth AI has primarily focused on the West Coast market in the past, with Silicon Valley being a major hub for startup development. However, New York holds a significant position in the dental field, second only to the West Coast. Participating in this year's IP2 Scale Out Program with i2i has allowed them to explore the East Coast market, yielding fruitful results and potentially expanding their business footprint in the U.S.

Chou added, "We hope this opportunity will lead to deeper discussions with East Coast academic institutions and advance academic and clinical collaborations."
