The i2i team and the Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) held an online international startup collaboration program orientation call meeting this Thursday (4/11), inviting 6 Canadian technology startups that will participate in the Taiwan Demo Day in May. The meeting focused on planning activities, scheduling, and discussing collaborative projects for this year's Taiwan-Canada business opportunities expansion and technical exchange alignment. Topics included industry networking, business opportunity matching, innovative technologies, market demands, successful case studies in the Taiwanese market, and future cooperation plans. i2i will continue to drive the 2024 IP2 Launchpad program, collaborating with CTA to facilitate exchanges between foreign startups and Taiwanese enterprises, aiming to achieve mutually beneficial B2B cooperation and accelerate the development of Taiwan's international startup ecosystem.

The international startup ecosystem revolves around trends such as AIoT and semiconductors

Based on a comprehensive evaluation of aspects such as company operations, technological orientation, market demands, and industry trends, the i2i team selected 6 promising Canadian startups from the list of 35 recommended by CTA to participate in this meeting. The selected startups are CentML Inc, Resemble AI, Applied Brain Research, CEMWorks, Zinite, and Digitho Technologies, focusing on themes such as AIoT, HealthTech, and semiconductors. Participants discussed the Taiwan Demo Day project scheduled for May, covering industry networking, business opportunity matching, innovative technologies, market demands, successful case studies in the Taiwanese market, and future cooperation plans.

CTA pointed out that the current acceleration programs in Taiwan focus on areas such as ICT, Digital Health, ESG sustainable development, and AI application technologies. To align with the market and industry demands between Taiwan and Canada, it is recommended that both sides increase exchanges regarding AI application technologies. Furthermore, CTA expressed delight in Taiwan becoming an important partner in the Canadian startup ecosystem, hoping for continued cooperation with i2i to assist startups in expanding investment markets and matching B2B opportunities.

Additionally, concerning the Canadian startups participating in the 2024 IP2 Launchpad program, further understanding will be sought regarding their company features, product and technological content introduction, expected development goals, and the resources and cooperation opportunities they hope to find in Taiwan, to precisely match them with suitable potential investment enterprises.

CTA stated that the i2i team carefully selected the most suitable list of promising Canadian startups, considering not only their technological orientation but also evaluating compatibility based on the resources and channels available in the Taiwanese market and industry. It is believed that Taiwan can become an ideal base for AI technology, and future collaboration with i2i will continue to promote the linkage between Taiwan and Canada's startup ecosystems, while facilitating cooperation and exchanges in the field of innovative technology.
